This grand hiking tour includes some of the best and most beautiful parts of the Forest Trail in Latvia and Estonia. Hikes in the forest trails and villages are combined with trips and excursions in cities, as well as other popular tourist sights in both countries.
Day 1: Riga
Arrive in Riga, pick up your hired car at the airport, and collect your info pack with maps and a detailed itinerary from your hotel reception. Optional guided walking tour in Riga Old Town.

Day 2: Riga - Sigulda
Drive from Riga to Sigulda (~50 km) and explore the area. We recommend visiting Sigulda castle ruins, Gutman’s Cave, and Turaida Museum Reserve.

Day 3: Sigulda - Ligatne
After breakfast enjoy sights like the River Vējupīte Ravine and Kraukļu Gorge. In the afternoon drive Sigulda to Līgatne (~20 km). After checkin in the hotel, discover Ligatne.

Day 4: Ligatne - Cesis
Drive from Ligatne to Āraiši and Cēsis (30 km), visiting Lake Āraiši Castle and Windmill. Hike the Cīrulīši Nature Trails, then explore Cēsis, its old town, and castle ruins.

Day 5: Cesis - Tartu
Drive from Cēsis to Tartu (175 km), stopping at the Sietiņiezis cliff. Sightsee in Tartu, visiting the Old Town, Tartu University, and the Estonian National Museum.

Day 6: Tartu – Peipus Lake
Drive from Tartu to Peipus Lake (40 km). Discover the Russian Old Believers villages like Varnja, Kasepaa, Kolkja and Nina

Day 7: Peipus Lake – Lahemaa National Park
Drive from Peipus Lake to Vihula (150 km) via Rakvere and Palmse, exploring Rakvere Castle and Palmse Manor.

Day 8: Lahemaa National
Hike the Oandu heritage trail (3,4 km) and the nature trail in Altja fishermen’s village (3 km). Enjoy the coastal villages like Vergi, Vosu, and Kesmu before returning back to your hotel.

Day 9: Vihula - Tallinn
