About
Adventure Therapy retreat in the deep heart of wild Soomaa National Park brings us campfire, canoeing skills, swamp wildness and self-preservation tricks and tips. The three-day adventure camp takes place in Soomaa at Sea Kayaking Estonia Basecamp.
We start off with a BONFIRE NIGHT is planned for a discussion circle and a night of practical skills (you learn how to make fire, filter water, discuss crisis supplies and options, chop wood and cook on a fire - we discuss both the physical and mental needs of people to cope with a crisis. The discussion circle will be led by the organisers of the community crisis exercise. We will feel the darkness and let's do exercises to cope with it. Smoke sauna and dip into the river.
WATER DAY is a day of pushing the limits of comfort - we go in solo canoes in any weather, learn to overcome the weather and enjoy what we have, learn new skills and feel what pushing the limits of oneself is. Afterwards, there will be a guided discussion round about the nature, necessity and needs of people in adventure therapy. Dinner and a surprise.
SWAMP DAY - mind-expanding and sunrise trip to the largest bog of Estonia with focus and tricks for presence. We end the camp with a discussion group and lunch.
